Hey guys,

As title says, any members in BC or more specifically the Lower Mainland? Just picked up a used 2015 RC last week, would be great to get to know folks around these parts in anticipation of rides in the spring. I'm downtown Vancouver.

Hi Alex!

RC's and mostly KTMs seems to be pretty rare here in BC (at least in GVRD)! I too live in Vancouver and just ordered in a 2017 RC390 waiting for delivery! Super excited about it and maybe we can meet up in the future!!Did you do something to your RC yet? Since its mostly winter/rainy/snowy in the past several months, ever had a chance to take her out?

Many RC owners here talked about heating issues, have you experienced any of that since we're in the PNW (i suppose we need to hit summer time to really tell, but just wondering).

Have already stocked up on the 1.6bar radiator cap, Engine Ice, Motorex 15w50 conventional oil for break in oil change (will change it like 2-3x before the 1000km mark for 1st service and will be switching to Motul 300v afterwards).

Have you done anything to your RC yet?
Cheers!!

Yeah, I'm getting close!

BTW--and I'll post this separately when I know more--some friends of mine are involved with the Alberta Mini Roadrace Association, and mentioned the possibility of a sub-400cc race class. They use the cart track just outside of Calgary (I've done some supermoto with them--they're members of Rocky Mountain Motards, too) and it's a hoot. Anyway, if there's interest here, I can maybe find out more.

To someone who is not entirely familiar with Canadian terminology, just hearing the expression "Lower Mainland" would suggest the speaker is referring to the USA or Central America......

(just joking)

Hmmm,,,never thought of it that way...

Then again, the "lower mainland" is the lowest common denominator of BC :p (yeah, I used to live there).

Ya, "Lower Mainland" is definitely a more BC/ Greater Vancouver Regional District term :p When Spring/Summer comes around we should absolutely do a mini meet or coast up Sea to Sky Highway to Whistler! Cheers!

Hi Guys!

Just got a call from the KTM Dealer (Holeshot) and they FINALLY received some 2017 RC 390's. The person over the phone told me they have got in around 10 units and around 3 or 4 are spoken for! Go and pick em up or check em out if you're in the area if you guys are interested!

Picked up a fully modded 2015 with all carbon fibre, new full adjustable front end and shock, pipe, power commander etc etc etc.

Would like to meet up and go for a ride before 5 months of rain

Plus I would like to pick your brains, like how to get to the spark plug??! Lol

Let me know if you are up for a ride soon

haha! I should've known you'd be on here!

I was trying to get the spark plug out to see how the power commander was affecting the jetting. I thought it might've been running lean and wanted to inspect the plug to see if I was right or wrong.

How's that Ducati treating you on the those canyons in Trail??

I haven't checked this page for like the LONGEST time, my bad. But yes I ended up with a 2015 RC390 that i bought off of 1st Gear. Might be trading that in soon though in the new year for a 2017 unless there are MAJOR changes for 2018s. I'll see =D Any one doing any more rides? Today was a fantastic day! Cheers!

I just picked up an '18 from Holeshot.

I am in Chilliwack, and would certainly be up for a ride or two.

Hello, new to the forum and I picked up a 2015 KTM RC for my son. He is just getting his learner at 16 so we will see if this little ripper is too much to handle. Located in Kamloops, B.C.

Joined here to learn about setting the valve shims and regular maintenance and issues with these one lungers.
