Just a mid season update on the ol 732. It still runs great and I am finally coming to terms with the beast, we are ironing out all the little nagging issues and I finally was able to throw in some good lap times. APE has a cylinder head that they are doing for me, so we are going to test the outer limits of the chassis hopefully this year.

Nice! I was looking for an unbent 390 frame so I could try this swap. Glad to see it worked out. Now, to see if someone could fit a 1290 engine. Lol.

My buddy Jim said that he saw you guys out at Utah ripping around out there. Man, I wish I could go for a rip on this thing! :D

It was Snaggletooth77x out on a tear, I was at home thinking about world domination. He was ultra competitive and scary fast on a bike he has barely ridden on a track he has never seen.

Any more info on that bracket for the caliper? i want one!
It was used to convert the 80mm hole diameter to the 100mm holes. Also to recenter the caliper to the 690 front wheel, and brake rotor. Too specialized to be functional anywhere else.

Thanks to Paxton for letting me race this little beast. This is one of the funnest bikes I have ridden and it worked surprisingly well. After racing an RC390 for so long it was fairly easy to adapt, the front end felt a little heavier and it was a bit slower on turn in which was expected. We set the Lightweight Superbike track record over three Kramers in our first race out so I would say it did its job. Kudos to Paxton for taking this on and making it work so well.

Um... awesome! Came across this thread after considering buying a used Kramer. Great job! Any other interesting engine swaps? In my dreams I want a lightweight 2 stroke track bike. I bleed orange - any options I might have?

This is our latest creature, it is taking much longer to complete then expected. RC8 chassis with a latest gen 690 full superbiked to hell and gone. The RC8 chassis is literally so big you could fit anything in there, go wild.

That looks sweet! As a mere mortal I wouldn’t be able to do this - but would really enjoy a super lightweight bike with a bit more punch than the RC has.

Love the concept. Brilliant job.

You've inspired me!

I've done a bit of research and I'm trying a slight different route. I'm doing the wheels and brakes first. I hope my plan works cause I've bought the bits.

I've unscrewed the bottoms off a 690 set of fork stanchions. I will screw these on my rc390 forks. Then build up the front end of the 690 onto the modified forks.

I can then retain abs sensor for the speedo. I plan to retain all the features of the RC390 for the road. Including dash and side pipe exhaust.

That's the plan but time will tell....

The engine, not yet acquired, I plan to fit the RC390 engine sensors and ecu. Unfortunately this means only a 45mm throttle body from the 390 onto the 690 lump. More low end torque and less power in theory.

I'll keep you all posted.

Again great job and thanks for sharing your projects.

I didn't get much time on the RC732R last year due to breaking my arm four days ahead of the opening round. We decided to do a few more upgrades on the bike over the winter though. Added 790 lowers to the 390 forks and dual rotors as well as dropped in a Suter slipper clutch to help get the power down. Here are a few recent pics just waiting for the racing to pick back up.
