Wind screens

There are 2 wind screens from KTM, one with headlight cut outs and one with out. I've even seen one that is tinted but doesn't go around the whole front like the stock one(KTM RC125 15 RC390 15 Airflow Windshield Shield Screen D Made in England | eBay).
Does the one on the cup bike like in the photo(with out cut outs) still show light from the head lights through it?? I can't find a front pic.
I want one like cup bike that covers the head light CLEARLY so headlights shine through. Anyone with more info?

I fitted my clear KTM race fairing over my headlights, after I removed the little LED running light below it. The fairing fits over the headlight just fine. BUT...the KTM race fairing has a 'frosted' area that mostly covers the headlight. The light still comes out enough to be pretty legit during the day, but it would not work at night. The headlight would be obstructed by the frosted plastic too much.

I like that tinted one, though. That appears to be a variation on what's called the "Racing Bubble" screen here, IIRC.

I have the racing bubble ON the bike, with the headlight.

But I disconected the LOW BEAM, because I am scared it burns the windscreen and the headlight.

Does anyone running it with the low beam ON? has it burned? or is it OK?

There's also one from puig that doesn't wrap around. Was set on ordering it in bright orange, but couldn't easily get a hold of it! So I ordered the ktm one with light cutout. I'm already semi-sorry that I didn't take the racing one and made something out of that one.

I wanted the orange puig as well. The fact that it didn't cover like the original, was a deal breaker.

Does anyone have a side by side of the OEM and Double Bubble screen? I want to see how different they are.

Thank you!! From what I've been able to read the bubble impacts you the most on the track in a tuck. Does it help direct airflow better than the stock screen when not in a tuck?

Just installed it and haven't had a chance to ride with the race windscreen. Looking at it then it will help while sitting up but won't be amazing.

Willasan- fantastic comparison! I haven't found anywhere that shows this. I assume this is the double bubble race wind screen with light cut out? I've seen mention about a bubble and a double bubble, not sure if it's the same.

That's correct, the double bubble with headlight cutout versus a stock one. Not sure how it stacks up versus the race screen without the cut out. Haven't ridden with it yet, but I really like what it did to the looks of the front of the bike.

I have the KTM Racing Bubble windscreen with headlight cutout on my bike. It is marginally taller but much more curved in the center section whereas the stock windscreen is flatter and shorter. The Racing Bubble windscreen offers much better wind protection (deflection). You'll definitely feel a difference when riding on the freeway or at high speed.

The stock windscreen allows too much air to hit you in the upper chest and under the chin of your helmet creating much more wind noise. The Racing Bubble windscreen gives you a descent pocket of calmer air, less wind noise and causes less fatigue if you travel long distance on the bike.

It was one of the first things I replaced immediately after getting the bike. It is well worth it and looks better.
