They offer a K&N cone filter as optional the only thing you need to take care of with these filters is riding in the rain.
I have ordered a pipe off them but will source a BMC or DNA cone filter as I am not a big fan of the build quality...

Matt, you're absolutely correct but do not underestimate the handling with lighter rims as the centrifugal forces wanting the front wheel to continue in a straight line are reduced tremendously as well.
After replacing the fork seals, it is relatively easy to add or distract oil, starting with 100ml increments, you may fine-tune later.

Have you measured the voltage on the battery terminals when revving around 5,000 rpm?
If there is no charge to the battery it is either the regulator/rectifier but more likely the stator coils are burned.
You can measure the stator coils with a multi-meter (check Google).
I don't think it is an issue of the flasher relay, more likely a connection problem.
Try disconnecting each signal wire, spraying some electrical contact spray (or WD-40, let it evaporate and re-connect.
Once you've done all four test ride again.
