Who is happy with their RC390 and had no issues apart from normal wear and tear?

I have a 2017 I bought new. I have 2 Ducatis, an MV Agusta F4 a Suzuki SV 650 and a Triumph Thruxton I can tell you the RC always puts a smile on my face.

    Fully Modded RC390 VS 600?

I got into a dicing match on backroads with a kid on a 600 super sport on a windy hilly backroad. I was redlined the whole time but kept up with him. The kid was shocked when he found out I only had a single.Mike Hailwood beat bikes on the isle of man TT in 78 that had 40 hp up on him.My bike...

What do you think this is?

There is more going on there that meets the eye. Surprised they even have a brace since so many riders don't use much rear brake it seems. The line going into the banjo fitting looks like a combination of electric and hydraulic.Crazy teched up stuff that little area there probably cost 10 grand...

Dual exhaust system for RC390 2017 model?

Just wondering why you would want a dual exhaust and the added weight? I can't imagine it adds any horsepower. Does it look cool, I guess, I like my exhaust coming out of the fairing.

    Thoughts on picking up a 18 RC390

Kind of confused by the useless on the freeway quote. The bike will do at least a 100 miles an hour. Mine lives on the backroads, I rarely go anywhere near a freeway, whats the point? I kept up with a CBR600 on the backroads, so as far as underpowered I think it comes down to rider experience...

Welcome aboard. Check the site for the werkes exhaust and the core issues. I have a werkes that I have yet to install.I bought the core kit. Also in merry old England I don't think they appreciate loud pipes, based on some of my British bike mags.

    Love this bike!!

I kept up with a kid ( I'm 55) on a CBR 600 averaging 80 to 90 on backroads, getting airborne at one point, the kid was shocked that I was on a single and kept up. I have Ducatis, MV Augusta and Suzuki sport bikes and I swear the RC is more fun .

Whats your opinion on width? 140 or 150 rear tyre

Faster turn in on the smaller tires. I changed my Ducati from a 170 to a 160. Moto gp bikes 30 years ago were running 160 or even 150 rears with 130 hp I would venture to guess most people are not riding close to the tires potential.

    Change your oil--EARLY

I have seen some you tube videos of RC filters with even more crud than that. It seems like it is a common occurrence with these bikes. Am I concerned? Sure I question why there is so much wear but I have nothing to compare it with. If it was that bad after 3000 miles I would definitely be...

    Change your oil--EARLY

From what I see the filters are doing their job and are not so clogged as to impede oil flow. My RC has 514 on it and getting ready for the 625 mile service.

How the RC has changed me

As far as better in regards to reliability based on this site you are correct. My SV is also bone stock and before the RC the SV was my favorite. But the light weight and flickability of the RC in my humble opinion has made it my favorite. The engine on the SV is superior without a doubt ,but...

How the RC has changed me

Yep the only downside I see to ownership, I will still keep my other bikes just in case.

How the RC has changed me

I am 55 and have ridden high capacity bikes my whole life. I started riding pure sport bikes 25 years ago and hence my addiction to riding stupid on the street began.Even though I bought those bikes my thought that 75 HP is all you need for the street was my mantra, I was always looking for a...
