I'm noticing this part is potentially leaking (it got unusually dirty... Maybe chain lube). How hard is it to replace and what spacial tools do I need? It looks like just a normal seal, but it is very hard. I thought it would be more pliable to prevent oil from coming out.
Congrats! While you're doing coolant, you can do the radiator high pressure cap, spal fan, and a trail tech temperature gauge all at once.
My RC390s live on the track. First one was mostly stock.
Ebay, this forum, Facebook marketplace, and Craigslist all did the trick for me. I did have to total one RC390 out due to a seized motor after a nasty crash.
I hope so, I would definitely sell RSV4 Factory for a RC790 (R).
Their CEO said 4 years ago they wouldn't make superbikes anymore because it's too dangerous.... I think it's just because they realized the RC8 wasn't a success.
No More Superbikes for KTM - CEO Says They're Too Dangerous For...
USAA. I spoke to the agents/supervisor. Track Days/schools are OK. Policy states "loss or damage to your covered vehicle while being raced or used in any driving contest or challenge" will not be covered.
Good point on medical, I have my own medical insurance. I'm talking coverage on the bike...
I just insured my track only bike for closed course use. It's registered non-op, The only thing they will not cover is timed & competitive events. They say it's a special insurance for that which they offer as well. Speak to your provider, they are all different.
I need to do something with the front end. It has Andreani inserts and supercorsa. I'm not getting the same feel and feedback as my last setup. I know this is a good setup, but it's not communicating well to me at this point, especially at high speed turn ins.
I would not install that top chain guide. It cracked in the first place from heat/stress. Installing a half way broken part to your higher compression build seems like you're willing to accept it as a weak point.
Excited to see your final build numbers!
