I think that what we are looking for here is how much is gained from just the exhaust. If he does what he says, "I'll put the oem exhaust back on, remove the PCV and put in the OEM air filter and get those baseline numbers" then we know how much was gained with all his other mods, not just by...
I am pretty sure that the baseline numbers on a RC are available already. I would be more interested in just putting the stock exhaust back on, tune it and then make a run. That will give you a good baseline. Then install the Werkes exhaust, tune it and make a run. Then you have a reliable...
How am I full of contradictions? I merely stated that this exhaust is as mentioned by numerous posters "very loud" and that may preclude others from being able to ride at certain tracks but it won't matter to me as I don't plan to have mine on track. Hence it doesn't figure in my decision on...
Once again I have quoted you above where you very clearly state that the exhaust "makes great torque improvements". Did you not state this?
I am merely pointing out that it is impossible to increase torque unless you increase power, which is precisely what you have stated above.
I am ok with...
How can it make more torque without making more power?
Torque (lb.in) = 63,025 x Power (HP) / Speed (RPM)
If power and speed stay the same then torque is the same?
I'm really not trying to be a troll just trying to figure out if this is a worthy upgrade?
Not saying it's a conspiracy just pointing out that there is very little data to back up what is being claimed in terms of power and torque. The only way to prove what is gained is to compare a dyno graph from a bike with a stock muffler to the same bike with the Werkes exhaust. That should tell...
I don't get it, these have been shipping since the end of November and no one has posted any reliable dyno info? I hate to say it makes me skeptical but why has the manufacture not done a bone stock curve vs exhaust installed curve? My RC was putting out 41.58hp at 25.71ft pounds with stock...
Hell yeah! Can't wait to get this out on the street. Huge thanks to Chad and Commonwealth for putting up with me. I cannot recommend them highly enough for work on your bikes. I think this will make my RC much more enjoyable on the street. I'm looking forward to all that extra torque for the...
You just replace your clutch assembly with this assembly reusing the clutch plates and it will work. If you want to adjust the amount of slippage then you can. But it will work straight out-of-the-box.
Got mine Monday and already installed it. I put new springs and spacers in the front and this thing is now STIFF! Can't wait to hit the twisties and see how she rides! Thanks Matt!
So I ordered the FRSP S3627090 and some 7 weight oil. What are the spacers that you guy are using? What sag numbers are you getting with those spacers? I'm street only so looking to be 25-35mm for my sag.
Good price but the map that comes with it will need tweaking so count on some Dyno time. I think Com Moto will give you their maps with purchase so their price ends up being better.
Took my rc390 down to be dynotuned yesterday. My bike is pretty much stock. K&N filter with the lid off. It ended up with 41.5hp and a really nice curve. I rode it about 120 miles this morning and couldn't be happier.
Significant difference in the mid range!
The biggest thing I noticed was...
