it certainly could be a bad thermostat.
It could be an air pocket in the cooling system too, especially since you had it open. I am not sure about the bleed procedure on these bikes, so if its not just a "fill it and forget it" thing, it can be tricky to get all the air out. In cars that...
I've briefly rode a BMW GS310 and its an excellent bike, but its so way down on power compared to a bone stock RC390/Duke390 its not even close.
As for handling its ok, but again, not in the same league as an RC390.
All the press agrees on this one too. Nice bike, but under powered. And even...
Madman, the Rapidbike Evo works well.
It needs better documentation and it needs some tweaks to the software, but its good.
Its definitely got lots of good points.
my biggest concern is that the after sales service is very poor. Almost zero help after you have given the money. And...
yes, the injector is either closed or open.
how the fuel is metered is by how long the injector is open.
The injector is duty cycled from about 10% to about 90% This means that at 50% duty cycle its open as long as its closed. At idle its closed way more than it is open, and at WOT and...
If you run an oversized injector that is of good quality and only as big as you need (bigger is not better) your fuel economy will not suffer. You will have to tune it of course using an aftermarket addon computer or a flash tune by someone who knows what they are doing.
Once this is done...
oh, ok, that makes more sense. I know for sure I am not leaning the bike as far as it will go, as for one, I am on the street, and who knows if there is mud, sand, gravel, a racoon etc mid corner. And secondly, I have only been riding since mid October.
But man, when I leaned it down in the...
you HAVE to have a larger injector if your engine needs more fuel. The stock injector can only go so far. It can only deliver so much fuel.
If you have an open airbox, full exhaust and the higher flowing intake runner, you WILL need a bigger injector. No questions needed.
You can get a...
to clarify if its a head gasket issue you will have to pull the spark plug, pressurize the system with a coolant pressure tester and let it sit for a while. Then look down the plug well with an inspection camera and see if there is a puddle of coolant on top of the piston.
All head gaskets...
I hope they start an under 400cc war. I really do.
I'd spend $8k for one too.
I want preload, compression and rebound damping on both ends, bigger brakes, very light weight (current bike is close) and 60-70 hp in a twin, triple or V4
I'd appreciate lean sensitive abs and a quick shifter...
OK, I have to ask.
How in the hell do you lean it over far enough to scrape the kickstand?? I leaned mine over in the driveway until the left peg touched and I almost couldn't pick it back up it was over so far!!
no, I have the Evo, no the Race one. Cannot change timing.
I've found that on cars, often a little more advance is good at low throttle low rpm, but I don't know if that will translate to this platform.
well, looks are subjective. its not my cup of tea, but its ok (The Ninja 400)
However, weight wize its within a couple of pounds of the RC390. Either one will loose the same weight with cat/resonator deletes, CF mufflers, Li batteries, etc.
