That looks similar to either a rear caliper, or a 125GP/Moto3 dual caliper setup. I don't think you'd want to run that on the front of these bikes. The one I linked is a four piston caliper.
If you know of one with the proper dimensions I'd like to see it. My extensive research had...
Another option is to just get some standard clip on bars. You might have to trim off the stock bar mounts on the triple, but that wouldn't be all that difficult. There are a lot of companies that make these things.
Yeah you better run! lolz.
I know you are joking, but this is one of those perpetuated myths that causes a lot of issues, because people are too lazy to learn about other cultures.
They don't worship cows. They believe in reincarnation--coming back to live another life because you failed to...
The way to fight this is to call (not write or email--they only pay attention to phone calls) your representative, and inform them that you will halt the purchases of all beef products produced in the USA. This would included all leather products produced in the States--including American...
And what are the ratings of the stock bulbs, and the stator (alternator)? The bikes marketed in India could easily have different specs than the bikes marketed else where. If indeed the bikes sold in India would have both bulbs light up supports my assertion. :D
Look up the power rating of the stator. Look up (or read) the power requirements of the bulbs. If the power of the two bulbs exceed the rating of the stator then you'll know that you are exceeding the design of the system.
Much in the same way that going to LEDs would lower the power needs it...
CDN, The stock spring employs a progressive spring because the actual rider weight would be undetermined. When lowering the bike like you are with the suspension they are probably assuming that it's going to be a lighter weight rider, and thus can go with a specific spring.
For others reading...
I gotcha! Thanks for the clarification. :)
The thing is these bikes are "meant" for beginners, and well since a beginner shouldn't be riding on the freeway they wouldn't really ever have a need to go 70. ;)
CDN you are illustrating many of the issues that come up once you start messing with the suspension. And since one it isn't necessary to get a reduced seat height that way, and two more than a little bit dangerous to do it that way, it really should be avoided.
By the way putting in a better...
Not sure why you'd need 70 mph for it to be fun.
The 50cc Derbi Senda which is a motard style bike with a kit will easily do 70, weighs around 50 pounds less, and has been in the States since the early 2000s. They are stupid fun. ;)
With a kit the Derbi has around 12 to 18 hp, the Duke 125...
I've been thinking about you vertically challenged riders. There are better options than screwing up the suspension with these crazy linkage mods that negatively effect the handling of the bike. These lowering kits are very unsafe, and I earnestly suggest that you not put them on your bikes...
Hey Rick! How much of this bullshit do you think comes from KTM, KTM NA, or Mike? If you can't say because of the lawsuit it's cool. I'm just curious what your take on it is having been dumped on so harshly.
Hey if you are jonesing for some small bike action you can come visit me in SF, and...
Here's a better photo. ;) They also increased the diameter of the front disc to 320mm from 300mm.
I'm really surprised that it didn't get a removable subframe like the new Duke. That would have been a nice upgrade. It would have opened up potential aftermarket race subframes that could...
