I have the KTM powerparts belly pan and it is mounted up as high as it will go. I am dragging the pan enough to wear thru the RHS edge. Other than continue to repair the fiberglass...is there another solution? parillaguy
Looking for some advice. One of my endurance racing team mates over rev'd the RC390 and it blew the head gasket. The shop that was doing the head gasket repair left the chassis outside in a heavy rain storm. When we went to race it next time the not all of the dash functions would show up. The...
I just installed the ROTTWEILER PERFORMANCE emissions can eliminator kit. Iwill see if it does anything other than allow me to remove some unnecessary parts from my RC390. Reasonable price for the kit and easy installation. Anyone have experience with this kit?parillaguy
It seems that here in Canada, KTM will no longer sell clutch lever parts. You have to buy the whole thing (lever, perch, bolts, switch, wire). Of course this doubles the price. Anyone have a spare clutch perch they want to sell? [email protected]
Many of the aftermarket exhausts for four stroke MX bikes had a add on cylinder reasonably close to the engine that appears to be a boost bottle (like the old two strokes of the early 198s) that I am a familiar with. I was wondering why none of the aftermarket exhausts for the RC390 do not have...
Front fork caps with adjuster function to allow ride height adjustment. I bought them, then didn't use them as I got Andreanni fork inserts. My loss your gain. Make an offer. email me [email protected]
The stock RC390 chain is endless ( no master link) . I got a smaller rear sprocket to give more top speed. I also ordered a Ktm master link for the chain so I could take out a few links and still use the stock chain. Sadly, the master link KTM supplied won't work with the stock chain. Moral of...
I discovered the rc390 has a throttle tube that is made of plastic and it has ridges at each end that keep the grip from moving. The throttle tube is also shorter than almost all of the replacement grip sets I tried. I have never seen a throttle like this and was wondering if there is an...
Another tid-bit from one of the RC390 Cup guys. Apparently, the nut holding the waterpump impeller on is not of the locking variety. With hard use they can back off the shaft. AMA Cup guys were told to replace the nut with a locking version. This is a relatively ease fix as the cover comes off...
R+G out of the UK appear now to make a racing cover for the LHS of the RC390. There is one listed on Ebay now. Item # 281650568969. Listed at $95.00 US. I don't see it on the R+G web site and was hoping one of the RC390 Forum Vendors has some. Instead of me emailing each one of them...please...
Took my KTM to the track on the weekend and it handled great. Can't say enough good things about how well the stock suspension (forks/shock) worked with the Pierelli Super Corsas. However, the power was just not there. The bike had no power and farted/backfired when rev'd hard. I only saw 89 KPH...
The RC Cup racers were instructed by the AMA guys to drill a hole in the bottom of the airbox. Apparently the airboxes were fillng up with water in the rain event. Drill a hole at the bottom of the airbox on the LHS. The hole will allow water to drain out avoiding the engine 'drowning'. The CUP...
I have the Ktm power parts race bellypan kit and it didn't come with instructions. I can figure out the front mount but can't figure out where the rear mount goes. Anyone have a you tube video on how to mount it? Or a photo of the mount?thanks.
There is a gear on the RHS end of the crank that drives the clutch (primary gear) as well as the cam chain. According to one of the RC Cup racers this gear needs to be tightened regularly if the bike is being raced. Apparently, it comes from the factory with insufficient torque on the nut. If it...
It looks like the KTM logo sheet on the side panels is peel and stick and not clearcoated over top. Am I correct? Has anyone tried to remove them and just have the white side panels? I am thinking about removing the side panel logos to give me space for racing numbers. parillaguy
I plan to road race my RC390. So I have ordered the F1Race exhaust and muffler hanger from Fuel Exhausts in the UK. Nothing against the kit Akraprovic parts but I wanted something different and it seems like exhaust changes are not giving a huge horsepower improvement for non-kit race bikes. If...
