This is my first post!
For the next track season I am considering upgrading my RC 390 by installing a free flow exhaust and a high flow air intake, completing the upgrade by installing a PCV and getting a custom map om the dyno.
This is my current plan:

We are finally getting time to play with the new generation dukes. This is with our test mule 2018 390 duke that is completely stock except for an airbox and a Rapid Bike Evo. Its still getting tuned but right now we are liking what we see! Expect to see some serious additions to our website...

Okay peeps...this is going to sound vague but this is all I have.
My bike is sounding weird and riding weird.
First off, backstory/mods: Gaffer 320 rotor, PCV, open airbox, removed that stupid hose, manual cam chain tensioner.
Did the airbox mod, got used to the nice growl and intake...
KTM has finally released their HOMOLOGATED intake runner for the RC390! This little monster will typically net you a 20% gain in top end horsepower, right where you want it for race use! These modifications were all done with a closed air box lid. If running an open lid and performance exhaust...

Random bits of info (or how not to make the same mistakes I did)
This is just random bits of info I learned when I did this stuff:
New radiator
PowerTRONIC ECU
JRi shock
Emissions removal
Some other miscellaneous crap
The airbox cover has two tabs towards the back that slip into slots on...
Removed the EVAP stuff today and decided to play around with replacing the airbox with a pod filter. I'm guessing this bike isn't the best fit for that setup, but would like to try it.
Here's what I did:
EVAP canister plumbing removed
Left the EVAP solenoid electrical connector plugged in...
This bike came to us with a mild super sport setup and we made a few gains! This bike is a high comp, closed airbox, K&N filter, Yosh pipes, Ti retainers, PCV, with a fair bit of Gray Area special sauce. This bike is on track and absolutely destroying it!

Hi there, can anyone tell me if it's possible to perform the same or similar airbox mod that can be done on the 2016 model, on the 2017 model (hot airgun, remove top cover then use bracket or ' bottom' of the cover that is left to secure the AF)?
Thanks,
Adam
Hi everybody uk owner of a ktm rc390 2015 started doin a few mods fitted a rapid bike evo ecu ,k&n filter an open top airbox going to get a werkes competions exhaust soon should get it running nice
Well i'm back with another problem...
I got my bike back from my mechanic a few days ago and had a ton of work done on the bike. Including rocker cover gasket and a general service.
When I pulled up at home after a totally normal ride the bike started to spew out a ice-coffee coloured liquid...
Hi All,
I've removed the Bazzaz Z-F! kit from our D390, as I've backed off on a full race tune. The midrange hit was too much for the wifey! It includes the handlebar switch that allows you to swap maps on the fly. It works perfectly. They got another 8 HP in the midrange with these parts...
What is missing on my airbox? I have the service manual and can't find any diagrams in there. The airbox is cracked also, but there is a recall so I can get another one for free.
Interesting. I'll try to post some pictures later today. It is cracked right where the "tube" coming from the throttle body meets the main part of the airbox. Theres a huge ugly plastic "weld" going around the box which I guess is part of the molding process. That sucker is cracked all the way...
The RC Cup racers were instructed by the AMA guys to drill a hole in the bottom of the airbox. Apparently the airboxes were fillng up with water in the rain event. Drill a hole at the bottom of the airbox on the LHS. The hole will allow water to drain out avoiding the engine 'drowning'. The CUP...
