Following the semi-successful parting out of most of the aftermarket parts on my 390, I'd like to throw out a feeler for the rest of the bike. It is just too time consuming for me to part out the bike to the frame.
So, I'm listing the rest of the bike to be sold, as-is, to someone who needs or...
Hey, While washing my bike yesterday, I realized two bolts are missing. One linking my left-side fairing with my windshield, and one on my powerparts engine guard.
I've been trying to find a place online to order these bolts... I can find the first bolt on most OEM parts sellers, but I can't...
Hey everyone!
So, I just installed my R6 shock a couple days ago. I have a question about the bushing kit. When I ordered it, it said I needed a kit for the top and the bottom bolt. But, when I installed the shock, I only needed the bushing for the bottom bolt. Did anyone else run into...
(2015 RC390) I’m so fed up with this bike right now!!
I don’t have money to continually dump into this thing to make it run or run correctly.
I had to helicoil one of the valve cover bolt holes recently and after two days of riding its leaking from the same bolt. I’m afraid to tighten it...
I'm fine not a scratch.
So I low sided over the weekend and ground a hole in my stator cover.
I pulled the cover, and in the case I found a short 8mm bolt, but there are no bolt missing from that side of the engine that I can see.
I also found a valve shim on the floor next to the bike.
It's...
Hello,
While taking apart the bodywork this small golden nut thing fell out.
Is it supposed to connect the coolant overflow tube (?) to the engine? Doesnt make sence to me, but it fits perfectly both ends for it.
Yes, sorry for the dumb question, not a mechanic :)
EDIT:
the...
Just got my new RC yesterday--and it didn't come with an owner's manual (dealer has one on order for me).
Going over the bike last night, I noticed some threaded holes in the rear swingarm; two of them are directly above the chain tensioner slides, and look like they might be for a lock bolt...
Hey guys we all know about the side stand issue. Mine was so bad the fucking kick stand bent and I couldn't get the large bolt back in so I ordered a new kick stand, bolt and nylox nut. I put blue lock tight on this time and stuffed it up. Then out the nylox nut on with some lock tight. Now it...
my bike is 2015 cup bike I got it new in 2015, it has about 15 sprint races on it and a probably about 10 track days, i check valves religiously and oil changes are done after every outing, the one thing i have never bother to check is the cam sprocket bolts, well the intake bolt decided to back...
Bought some 75mm pro bolt titainium race spec drilled caliper bolts in m10 and machined them down to M8x1.0 by 70mm length to suit left a 10mm collar at the top of the bolt to help with strength so needed to drill the top of the caliper a little to suit. The ones that come in the 320 upgrade...
I'm starting to get an annoying metallic rattling noise at low RPMs. Upon closer look I think I might be missing a bolt just adjacent to the rear brake pedal. The whole fairing feels really loose in this area. Can you fellow RC390 owners let me know if there is supposed to be a bolt in here...
This is just a public service announcement for folks who are running the Tyga rearsets... CHECK YOUR REAR BRAKE LEVER STOP ADJUSTER.
I've just gotten my 3rd report from someone who's had the adjuster fall off, which then allows the brake lever to swing WAY too far up... So, look at the bottom...
I was looking at a few places for mounting hardware for some of the street bodywork but I couldnt pinpoint which bolt in the upper side panel below tank at the rear most point of the side fairing. A bolt and washer worked loose sometime and is gone. I also couldnt find any fork internal parts...
I know that I'll need to grease the bushings, and plan to do so when I install the shock that sits lonely in the garage. But I loosened the pivot bolt to see if I could nudge the right side rearset out to get some working room to remove the rear brake hose. I was too lazy to take the belly pan...
Had a little time to make a proto type piece here to verify fitment and check operation. I am using Frank's captive spacers in the front wheel. Please give me some feedback and or interest in it so I can get a price on having some CNC'ed. Works very well, just loosen pinch bolts and axle and...
Coming soon. RC390 top triple clamp and handle bars. All specifically designed for the RC390.
The whole assembly is lighter than the standard setup, and with the bars being seperate from the top clamp, there's no worry about breaking the top clamp during a crash, which is going to happen on the...

While washing the bike I noticed this bolt was loose
Can someone tell me what this bolt is for?
I tried to put it back in but the hole are not aligned and the bolt is slightly bent.
Thanks for any input on this.
Hi Guys,
Quick question.
Does anyone know if the RC390 steps are compatible with the Duke 390?
Looks like they'll bolt straight on, but as we don't have a bike, and can't get hold of one locally, I thought that I'd ask to see if anyone had done such a thing, or knew the answer.
Cheers,
Matt.
Does anyone know what the torque spec is for the bolt that mounts the engine to the chassis bracket? There is a spec in the manual that says 36.9 lbf ft, for the engine mounting bracket, so I don't think that is it. I want the spec for the bolt that holds the engine on. Any help would be...
