On the rebuild a high compression gasket was installed and the valve clearances were set tight, .6 and .1, is this to get more out of the higher compression or do I need to correct this?

Has anyone carried out a compression test on a 390. I was wondering what a good psi reading is. Did mine yesterday with the decompressor disabled and got 200 psi, but don't know is that's good or bad.
