2006+ r6 Elka installed on my Rc

Seeing all the RC shock swaps made me start to think about doing the same, i had bought an old 02 shock to throw on as the elka i had spare off my r6 didnt fit.

I had a friend mill me up a lower bracket for the Elka and it has worked out perfectly though! I think i should probably wrap the exhaust pipe to not risk overheating the shock but other than that i think it should work great!

Thats a trick looking shock.
Well done with the fitting
Keep us informed how it performs, and how the spring rate stacks up.
Wrapping the pipe would be a good idea as it does seem close at one point

just a bad view, there is an inch or two there. lol. the chain was just cleaned and there is no lube on it yet

Ah, ok. I run paraffin on my gold bicycle chains (KMC X10SL Ti-Nitride coated) and can achieve a similar appearance even when lubed - would like to do same on the motorcycle but not sure it's possible...

i do use a clear wax thought, and it keeps the cain shiny
