by looking at the technical data that spread on the internet, 790 has the same diameter like RC, 43mm...
showa's bottom fork has 43 mm fine thread opening, 100 mm center-to-center caliper spacing, 25 mm front axle...
and for the axle, well it should be replaced but i'm quite sure that we can use one from ducati or any other bike...
and yes, my other concern is the wheel itself, i'd rather to use the old rim, try to change the inner bushing first, because 790 has 3,5 inch rim, and i'm not sure that RC can fit that size of rim, 3 inch will still fit perfectly, but 3,5? i don't know...
i'm doing research mostly based on technical data that i able to find online, this is just for fun, and i can't afford to spend much money by buying parts just for experimenting...

What about the axle size, wouldn't you need a 790 front wheel too?
