How to increase the idle?

I have a 2017 Duke 390 not an RC, but I'm hoping there are smarter people here. I'm trying to significantly increase the idle and my understanding is that it's not possible through the ECU. I heard that I might be able to do so with a potentiometer being installed between the throttle and the TPS/ECU. Any direction on this or any other solution to increase the idle is appreciated.

That is a long explanation. Basically it's required to be fast in the sport I will be competing in with the bike. Do you know how to increase the idle?
