I simply removed everything but the seat pad. I actually got a race tail two days ago, so that will be installed shortly. I have a K&N air filter held in place with an aluminum cover, which can be purchased from one of the site sponsors. I'll probably make an aluminum plate just to keep debris from flying from the tire directly onto the air filter. I am running an arrow GP pipe and have had the ECU re-flashed by my dealer to run the Akra map, which is intended to work with the more open air filter and pipe. It runs well. It's a nice solution for the track to save maximum weight, but I wouldn't do it on a street bike, as you have no locking tray for storage, and the seat can be removed pretty easily. And, of course, there is no taillight or turn signals.
