2015 rc390 had 15,000km with only one oil change. But I got the bike very cheap, so immediately did a valve clearance check and changed oil+filter. Was totally fine, valves barely needed adjusting.
We are riding two up in very got weather, lots of luggage, bungees on and 5000km in with about 1000km to go I'm very happy with the bike, only fan comes on in traffic. No perfect gear in town always having to feather the clutch. Although I did change rear tooth size 3 teeth smaller for longer highway sections.
Very fun trip, perfect engine size for touring, won't kill myself.
ISSUES:
Cuts out at sudden stops or when I slow down to a stop at traffic lights. But is very sporadic and normally only happens after motorway riding then very hot temp outside + city riding immediately after.
Suspension not adjustable for all the luggage were carrying. But otherwise quite comfortable. I'm 6ft1 and 85kg and the bike handles great.
Fuel tank only lasts about 190/210km
Normally sit between 120/130kmh for 1.5hr increments on the motorway.
