That's a great vantage point. I was thinking about a similar mounting position, but just above the lights on the windscreen.
On a side note, I wonder if the Porsche Experience Center in Carson will allow track days. They're laying out the track now, and it looks about as wide as SoW.
Not to try and push my product offerings too much here, but I've got a frame mount kit that holds a RAM ball, and whatever you want to mount to it... be it a GoPro, lap timer, GPS, Phone, what have you...

The primary advantage of this kit over other possible options is it's solid mounted, so you don't get the camera pointing the "wrong way" with counter steering in the turns if the camera is mounted to the top triple.
Hey mrgrody love the GoPro angle, looks sweet. I did the stem nut drill and tap and screwed a ram ball in. Bought a GoPro ram mount and good to go. Speedo is visible depending on sun angle
