I bought my 2015 RC 390 a month ago from a private party w 1,700 miles, but when I tried to guage oil level last week looking at sight glass on the side, I couldn’t tell ANY oil level whatsoever in sight glass?? The bike may be on just a sight incline, barely, & I’m not the most inclined mechanically, but should this be alarming as the bike has rode fine?!!

Are you checking the oil with the bike in the correct position (i.e. not on the side stand)? I'd go ahead and change the oil regardless since you don't really know how the bike was maintained.

You should read the owners manual for exact instructions on how to check the oil level. It might surprise you.

I've been using 300V for 20,000 miles now, good stuff. You are suppose to lean it over one side, then lean it over to the other, and then hold it upright (Not on a stand) to check the oil level.
