Ive trimmed the lighting loom out of mine and some abs wiring also removed the alarm loom and removed the switch gear wiring and wired the ignition switch into a off/run switch, i'll thin the relay and fuse loom out another day i can utilize one relay for power commander and quick shifter , also moved the diag socket up towards the headstock area for ease .

Ill be trimming my harness up this week, will be sharing a build post with results. I've previously cut out the rear section for the tail lighting because its a track only bike. I will note that when i cut one of the ALARM wires (purple) the bike would not start, i had to resolder the connection the night before heading to the track! It may be that you have to remove more of the system to avoid this? Ill do some searching and try to get an answer on that...my main goal is to get rid of the complete ABS system because having that heavy pump taking up a chunk of room by the headstock is useless for racing. Also rerouting the harness itself because of some other changes and want to keep it simple. Goodluck with your work plz share results/things learned here!

Hey Rhody / good to hear from you 🙌🏻
I’m a little way behind you - just got my Uncles ‘58 Vincent restomod finally kicked out of my ‘shop so just opening up this KTM build again. As mine is a new build I don’t have some parts I may need like instruments/clocks to read any error code. I remember reading somewhere that cutting out ABS is no big deal as there is just flashing red light there and can just take out the bulb 😂 hope that helps.

I just messaged a couple of shops this morning about racing looms - I presume they are just engine/pump/ecu and a couple of sensors - that suits me very well as for the rest I’ll add in an M-Unit.

Keen to read your progress and happy to help anyway I can 👌🏻
