I bought it with the intent of getting back into it after I retired from racing. I intended on doing 10+ trackdays a year and closer to 15. Well, life struck and with two kids and street riding I simply was never able to get to the track. I mean, I did a few times but it was a giant waste of...
Naw, not here anyway. There's nothing in the documentation that says even racing is grounds to void the warranty, plus the dash even says "ready to race" when you turn it on. Modifying things like the fuel system and then complaining that you ate a valve may cause you problems, but the...
No I don't, but it's loud as most of these exhausts are. The Yoshimura is not as loud, and makes fantastic power -- but I could not stand the fitment and how it routed under the swingarm so I returned it.
Beautiful.
Any idea how much further in we gotta move the rear wheel to keep proper chain slack? 1mm? 2mm? 5mm? Just curious for my notes / geometry before I go with one. I definitely need to adjust gearing for one of the tracks I ride at - hitting the limiter about 1/2 down the front...
No issues on my brand new 2017. I broke mine in per the manual, changed all the fluids, and have done the remainder of the nearly 1000 miles on the track. Yeah, not much, but I'm beating the crap out of it and it doesn't seem to care. I run a real temperature gauge instead of the bars and it...
There's not really anything to lubricate other than to make sure there's nothing in the actual housing itself causing it to stick -- or I suppose, on the throttle tube itself. I'd start there.
Just go put some Prestone in it, or honestly any other 50/50 high quality coolant... its all good to go for aluminum engines these days, it's not like back in the day when silicates would mess up your water pump and stuff like that.
Tom,
Just a little piece of info. I purchased the side mounted Yosh and yes, it looked good and sounded good. It was also a giant pain in the ass to install, it more or less had about 1/2cm of clearance from the swingarm unless you mounted the thing artifically "low," which would have meant I...
