Creative and tastefully done. Looks quite nice! Understated and far more subtle than the in-your-face orange flash of the OEM presentation. What was your solution for replacing/relocating the radiator reservoir bottle?
After draining the hot oil, pulling and replacing the filter, cleaning the screens putting everything back together, I refill the sump with exactly 1.6L of measured oil. I realize the manual calls for 1.7L, but I cannot be certain that every drop of the old oil has drained - I suspect a small...
There is a video on uTube made by an Indian 390 owner who demonstrates the 2017 Duke running without the side canister. The Gen2 bike has an underbody cat/silencer quite similar to the Gen1 OEM exhaust. This unit feeds into the side canister. Without the canister the bike appears to run well...
Michelle, Bleeding air from a hot radiator sounds like a very dangerous piece of advice. Whatever you do with a radiator, conventional wisdom says you must do it when the radiator/engine are cool. You most certainly don't want to be dealing with hot coolant under pressure.
You are prudent to...
Michelle, You are the first 390 owner I have seen who has taken off the clutch cover in order to keep the cam chain in place. This is a bit of extra effort, but probably a sensible idea in terms of avoiding possible misalignment when refitting the cams. Did you loosen and tilt the radiator...
The Gen1 front brake - both variants - definitely needs upgrading (This has been done by the factory on the forthcoming 2017 Duke). On my bike I fitted HH sintered pads, a Galfer 320mm rotor, and a new radial 15mm MC (suggest Brembo if you are racing, Frando for street). This combination...
Like many moto fuel gauges, the 390's fuel readout does not/cannot reflect accurate data on the bike's actual fuel status. You have to consider the fuel gauge as suggestive, not informative. For more accurate information, set the Trip 2 odometer at zero (press "set" for 5 seconds) when at the...
What's the capacity of the new tank? Building a new tank is a obvious opportunity to remedy one of the shortcomings of the 390 variants - insufficient range because of tiny tanks. The new tank looks like it could hold 20 liters or more - I think it would hardly be worth the trouble if it...
Are you certain your chain is well-lubed and not binding at any spots? The OEM chain is not famous for high quality or durability. A high quality chain will reduce frictional losses and probably add several MPH to your top end.
Breakage reports of coolant bottle connector nipples are relatively common with both 390 variants. This is a fragile part. It can be repaired as hoc, or you can fit an alternative, less damage-prone bottle such as this Tyga offering from Formula390.

Michelle, I suggest you go to the Duke forum and PM Trimapa and Mariner, both of whom have installed the Rapid Bike Evo. Trimapa, in particular, had some confusion with connectors due to changes made by KTM to the wiring harness after the Rapid Bike instructions had been printed. He can give...
Personally, I think we should be happy to give Matt a little business in appreciation for the time and effort he put into developing this excellent, cost-effective shock upgrade. He magnanimously shared it free of cost with the 390 community, a valuable public service for which he deserves...
Kudos for taking advantage of advancing protective technology! The Hit Air is a nice piece of gear. Hopefully you won't have to test it in action....
I have been thinking about a Helite. My current opinion is that it would be a bit redundant since I wear this Forcefield armored shirt under...
