Well I already got the head and the piston shaft thing decked just in case so that won't tell me anything at this point. Going to tear down the water pump and see if that tells more of the story before splitting the case. Fingers crossed that'll solve it.....but I'm worried that I'll put it...
So not to bandwagon this too much, but I'm in the same boat as OP except my engine is now apart and it appears the head gasket was not the issue as it still looks pretty mint. Looking in my case a bit, it doesn't look like there is much bead left from the original case sealant so that means I...
2015-2016 Throttle body, ported, 350cc injector, RC390R runner. Includes a Custom map! $350
Tyga Header (used 1 weekend) $100
Is the throttle body (and other stuff) and header available still? Also the 350cc injector is the oversized one, correct?
Never experienced personally but the engine might not be happy if you over rev it--sounds like you might be dropping too many gears. You can get the Akra map at your dealer which unlocks a few more revs, might help with the ECU cutting your engine.
I would also like a more definitive answer...for reasons.
power reasons
Also the differences between tyga and yoshi double in particular are vague and I'm not sure which is best
I'm running the map provided by Chad for the open airbox and ~stock. Quality map I've been very happy with.
Ya I have adjustable levers and one was flipped up (right side) and my mirror was moved(left side). Very strange. I investigated and everything looks ok, body wheels, rotor, etc. But...
I have determined that the additional noise is a buzzing sound, especially when decelerating. Might just be my imagination.
That was my first though but it is still nice and secure. Probably just my imagination. I do need to get my abs light checked out though. Some kind of issue there
Okay peeps...this is going to sound vague but this is all I have.
My bike is sounding weird and riding weird.
First off, backstory/mods: Gaffer 320 rotor, PCV, open airbox, removed that stupid hose, manual cam chain tensioner.
Did the airbox mod, got used to the nice growl and intake...
No issues at all! Forums are the place where people go who have problems so you'll rarely find it's a bunch of happy campers. I'd go with what mattv said--possibly some new bolts(the standard bolts are shit) or some more loctite. Or both!
Also make sure your loctite is the special oil...
I'm in So Cal too and so far no problems. Still have a year left on my warranty so I need to hit the track to hopefully flush out any issues I might have with my engine. ;)
