That tube melted.

I took the pump out and the problem was pretty clear. Some house or tube or something in the pump turned to putty / melted. Probably from 105 degrees in Texas + the sun sitting outside.

I jumped the relay and now I have 12v at the pump orange blue wire!!! So the circuit is not closing somewhere between the relay itself and the relay circuit. But other relays are not working either, so I suspect its the relay socket.

I did not wire the battery into anything on the side of the ecu. The battery I have been using dropped to 5v, which I hope is what caused the temperature warning. Appreciate the help though.

I swapped relays. Same results

Retested . I have no voltage to the orange blue wire on pump side of relay. Only 5.2v to the green red. I also just got a high coolant tempature error, even though the bike has not bee started.

I will retest test the voltage going to the pump. If i directly wire the battery to the pump (orange blue wire and yellow black wire), it should run and pump gas out of the fuel line correct?

I checked the relay socket. It gets 12v after turning on ignition, the relay clicks shut, and then voltage drops to 8v and the relay opens again. That seems correct. I directly wired a battery to the fuel pump. You can hear it turning, but its very quite. It does not make that loud noise you...

The voltage I am getting at the connector going to the fuel pump does not increase and then decrease when you turn on the ignition. I know the fuel pump is supposed to prime at ignition on. I would think that the priming is caused by a higher initial voltage?

I tested the fuel pump relay. It is working. There is a 4 prong connector going to the fuel pump. I am getting 5 or 6 volts across two of the prongs. Does that sound right?

I started bike for first time in a few weeks and instead of the whining noise the fuel pump makes after turning ignition on, it made a noise like it was having trouble turning. I thought that the thermo created a closed system until a certain temperature, and once activated, opened the circuit, allowing the coolant to flow?

Why do you think it is only happening on the track? A highway should allow you to easily go WOT in 4th
