The engine cases are for a ‘17+ RC 390 & 13+ Duke 390, perhaps they changed the engine cases when they added the slipper clutch (which the duke 390 was already using).

I would suggest disconnecting the quickshifter before diving in to the gearbox. Easier, quicker and cheaper to diagnose if it’s an issue with the quickshifter, if it still has the same problem then it’s time to open the cases
There are different theories on running a race bike in. I have an R3 that was taken to the race track brand new with 0 miles. There are plenty of racers that choose this method
Don’t you need engine covers with your race org?
And did you experience any clearance or positioning issues with the stock rearsets?

You won’t have any power gains without a tune, it would be a waste of money buying a filter and not getting a pcv + tune.
