Bit hard to say without seeing you in action but I guess the usual cornering rules apply;
Are you in the gear you want to corner in well before you hit the corner, or are you changing down, just as you go into it?
Are you braking predominantly with the front before the corner or are you using...
Hey mate, Western Australian here, where are you located?
I get all my gear from the sponsors of these forums, no naming names as they are all good at what they do. Most of my business has been with Chad at Commonwealth motorcycles. He has all the goodies and I found him to be extremely...
Sorry for the late reply. I got my bike serviced for it's first run in service and the guys at the shop said that they needed to do a ECU map update. Riding it back home, prior to the PCV install, it was noticeably smoother and more responsive.
I don't think we are the only ones. After a while you realise that using only one third of a big bike's power (most of the time everyday riding) but being compromised in handling, weight, cost of tyres and chains etc etc, is not particularly rewarding. A modded RC390 pretty much has everything I...
I think with a slip on you should be ok for fuelling, it's just a silencer, not a full exhaust system. More noise but shouldn't really affect anything else.
Ah the trials of exhaust changeovers and removals, I had a lot of fun just installing a cat delete pipe between the header and 'tea pot', took me for bloody ever. looking at the dramas you had I would have probably not bothered lol and just gone with the Werks cat delete and slip on for the...
Ok for slow speed in the parking lot as long as you utilise rear brake trailing...., it's tall and has a relatively short wheelbase.
Let us know how you go after you pick it up!
Welcome! most people are surprised by the torque and power of the little RC390, comment are often around how it's actually a little too much to handle for a 'beginner', to 'I can't believe it's a LAMS (Learner Approved Motorcycle Scheme), bike!.'
There are a few of those 310R Bimmers driving around over here, kind of a interesting niche bike, I have seen them set up for 'adventure' riding (bit of gravel track work) and most people have positive things to say about them. Here in Australia, everybody can't wait to get on to bigger bikes...
Well, this thread is really about discussing reporting GOOD owner experiences, but you are welcome to your thoughts... Just make sure you conduct the same 'research' on the other bikes you are looking at. All makes/models will have their share of duds, you don't have to believe me, but you will...
Just wondered, would this be a worthwhile topic? I am interested in getting some feedback from owners who are;
A. Happy with their RC390
B. Ok with it's reliability, given the usual caveats of operator error (which apparently is NEVER a thing), being used as a race bike or street bike, or...
Surprised at your findings, maybe we should have a "never had an issue outside of normal wear and tear" thread to provide you with some other data? I will post one just for 2017 and after RC390s.
