I have seen many track day riders with the majority of their weight on the seat. Even on the street you will see a noticeable difference in your bump compliance and stability with your weight on the pegs. the pegs being lower will effectively lower you center of gravity, and help lessen weight...
In corners especially, make sure almost all your weight is on the pegs....NOT on the seat. Traction can then be better managed between the outer and inner to correct and adjust traction.
Have you done the first service yet? Mine would not save till after that.
The manual is not correct also, try youtube to see how to do it for the 2017.

In my opinion based on owning many bike types, Reliability is hit or miss.
Keep up on normal maintenance. Keep looking for early signs of abnormal behavior. Keep coolant at the proper level (coolant tank level check is not enough...check the radiator every now and again) and bleed properly...
