On mine there is a rubber plug the size of a dime on the inboard side of the carbon tip. Take the plug off and you can access the allen bolt to remove the baffle.
Perhaps the 2018 is different but on my 2016 I get 115 mm of travel when street riding. That is with a 5 mm larger air gap than Andreani recommends. It's been a while since I've had it on the track so cant say how much travel I get there.

You have to make a small notch in the area where the rebound adjuster contacts the swingarm. Not very much has to be removed from the inner flange that sticks up.
You can't attach the exhaust to the swingarm. Once the swingarm moves it will bend the exhaust. You'll have to come up with a different solution. Use the footrest bracket until you do.
