Actually, already got a deal done this morning, sorry everyone. It was crazy fast, was faster than I expected and now I have myself a Ducati Monster
Selling my KTM RC390 for something a little more touring oriented. As much as I love this bike and hate to sell so fast, I do want to do some multi day trips next year and don't think this is the most practical option. The bike is in perfect condition with about 1,250 miles and not a scratch on...
Intake was clear and no, I was in gear without pulling the clutch. It's strange how 1st gear seems ok but after that I'm stuck at 6500. Top speed is now 60-68 depending on how steep the road is haha :p
That's a good idea to check the air intake I didn't think of that. Its just weird how it developed on the last ride. Just waiting for the dealer to get back to me so the fun begins.... Haha
Hmm can't hurt to look sounds possible, but no no messages. I haven't taken anything off in a few weeks and had many rides in between so that's really why I'm stumped, but intake would be good to check.
Basically long story short, while riding yesterday about halfway through my ride I went to overtake a car and pulled back the throttle and nothing happened. After fiddling around I realized I couldn't exceed about 6500 RPM in any gear except 1st. I would be cruising totally fine and go to open...
And if anyone is on here getting their bike from them or maybe a surrounding area, it might just show up in the next few days. I picked mine up yesterday. It came in alone on Monday so the others are hopefully not far behind.
Yeah I am dying in anticipation but I'm glad to hear you think its worth the wait. I almost caved about 100 times and bought a Ducati Monster....and yeah it is Scott's Powersports they know my face quite well by now haha.
East PA Update
I'm not sure how many of you guys have been in regular contact with your dealers but I got word the bikes for the Northeast are in Ohio going through quality control at a large KTM dealer there and being shipped out as we speak. My place in Coopersburg PA, right on the NJ/PA...
I'll ask, but I'm not sure what exactly they'll say. He actually had never run the numbers so while I waited on the line he walked me through it. Basically for them, anything under 551cc is a standard automatically, and he puts the horsepower and displacement numbers into a calculator along with...
You cant set up a policy yet, but the guy ran the figures and told me what the price will be. The issue is the bike is not listed in NADA yet so until that gets updated (about a month or so) they cant make any policies, but afterwards you'll be able to make any kind of policy.
Saw this thread a while ago and just got a quote from Rider, which if your lucky to be in their area in the North East, for me was only about $320 annually. I'm a 22 year old guy with one speeding violation in the last 3 years, so I'm not upset...because I had gotten a Progressive quote 20...
