At 15,684 miles I decided I had punished the KTM's mill long enough. I broke down and adjusted the valves. Of course, this required the acquisition of Harbor Freight's 1,000 # motorcycle lift that taunts us with that $299.99 coupon each month in the back of the MC mags. It's sweet!

My RC 390 was receiving a light dusting of rusty powder around the rapidly stretching stock chain.
I replaced the chain this afternoon with an RK 520 XW.
The new chain was more than a full link shorter in length.
When I ground the stock rivets out, I imagined the old chain was throwing...
This seems to be a fairly popular topic, so here's my 2 cents.
I got my RC390 in June and I've put 8900 miles on it commuting to San Francisco each day.
Three times it's overheated and stalled when I got back to town in the afternoon. It takes about 10 minutes before I can start it up again...
