If its a pendulum type just take the cover off or drill a small hole and fill the whole inside with silicone so the pendulum or ring is unable to move. If its electronic you will have to find the correct resistance and splice in a resistor in its place.
Its coming, Im sure 2018 will have all those features. From what I have seen online it will be first shown in Oct or Nov of 2017. Engine will remain the same, as for power increase, nothing has been confirmed. KTM was concentrating on updating their dual sport and naked lines for 2017 and will...
This may not work on all RC390 bikes. Some RC tanks the filler hole is slightly offset to the front of the tank opening not centered. Example in the pic below. Im not sure if its a variation of production date or region. In this case if the cap is centered and the filler hole is offset it wont...
Unfortunate I am about as far from Cali as you can get, I am in NJ. Mine was custom tuned here in NJ.. It was tuned for the Acro system actually, the tune works extremely well with the MIVV as they probably have similar exhaust internal volume and length.
Yes my bike is tuned with a PCV, with the Werks the bike would just seem to change tone and not really go at mid RPM, When I installed the MIVV it was like a kick in the pants, the bike has an instant reaction to every move of the throttle. I made no changes to the tune when i swapped to the...
I was running the Werks for a while and got tired of the noise level. I switched to a MIVV Ghibli that I modified and not only does the bike sound deeper but there was a big low end torque gain, it was extremely noticeable. I believe that this engine benefits from the longest possible exhaust...
If you are having trouble bleeding the brake. Try removing the front master cylinder top cover and pump the lever several times extremely fast, rapid fire. From my experience tiny air bubbles get trapped inside the cylinder pump. As you are rapidly pumping the lever you should see tiny air...
RC8 fork swap is fairly easy. You can then use a standard 100mm Brembo or other radial caliper. This setup is extremely powerful, I am using original master cyl and its a 1 finger brake.
Yes the rear ABS rotor is smaller but the tire diameter is larger. As long as you use the OEM size tire the accuracy will not be affected. If you go with a 160 rear tire it will be off by about %10.
I deleted my ABS by splitting the pump and just using the circuit board to drive the speedo. I lengthened the bike side wire harness for the front ABS sensor plug to plug to the rear ABS sensor and am running the speedo from the rear wheel ( bike still thinks its front ) I have no sensor or ring...
There may be a way to custom make a adapter bracket to fit a 100mm Brembo. The caliper would also have to be moved inwards as well to be centered on the rotor. This seems hoaky to me and since we are dealing with the brakes, a bit unsafe.
The fork swap with softer springs and, fender, caliper...
mgodkin828 if you are referring to my bike. This is an entire RC8 fork / front fender swap, so this is just a standard Brembo 100mm, 30mm offset caliper.
