Cam-chain lifespan.

Hi all,

I have been searching everywhere but can't find the answer to my question.
I am aware it will depend on how the bike is being ridden, yet, looking to find an average into when a cam-chain is renewed.
My bike is a 200cc from 2012 and has over 70,000 km, she starts fine and runs fine.
Oil (Motorex semi 15-W50) and oil filter (Hi-Flo) change every 6-7,000.
Please answer when you know, no guesstimate or my mechanic tells me so-and-so.

Cam chain, just like motorcycle final drive chain depends on a lot of factors. There isn't one statistical model to go by, as a set standard. For some a drive chain might last upto 30k kms for some, 20k kms and for some 8k kms. Why? There are lot of factors. Chain stretch cannot be measured under set protocols. Usage vary, maintenance vary and so life varies.
