I put mine on some scales at a engineering shop yesterday and it was 128 kilo's with nearly a full tank of fuel, KTM claim 154 wet still have the carbon fairings to add but still also dropping weight with the wiring loom and the wheel splindles and spacers to fit and rear set and back engine bolt in titainium And And probably some Marchesini wheels.
i will have it weighed again when completed .

How did you guys get rid of 27 kilos or 60 lbs more or less off of the claimed weight?

RC390 sport bike
Manufacturer Bajaj Auto and KTM
Wheelbase 1,340 mm (53 in)
Seat height 820 mm (32 in)
Weight 324 lb (147 kg) (claimed, without fuel) (dry) 154.2 kg (340.0 lb) (estimated) 165.3 kg (364.5 lb) (wet)

Mine weighed 365 lbs stock. After mods it currently weighs 331 lbs with a full tank completely filled to the top with no air space, and all fluids topped off. I hope to get it down to 315 after Marchesini wheels and Akra exhuast w/o cat. I used 2 scales one on each wheel at the same time to most accurately weigh mine. I am curious as to what mods everyone who has got their bike well under 300 lbs has done?

I haven't put mine on a scale but here are some weight savings:
Exhaust expansion chamber 12 lbs
OEM rear sets and passenger pegs 10 lbs
Tail tidy 5 lbs
Battery ?

That's a loooooooong way from the 60 pounds they claim they saved...
No headlights/tail lights would save a bit as well, along with the entire tail assembly and seat replaced with a race tail. Every little bit counts I guess. How much does the Ohlins shock weigh in comparison to the stock one?

Nice work!

My bike is currently in fully street legal form, but it's nice to know I can get it down to 300 lbs more or less converted into a track bike.

Search my posts for build and photos. Basically if it wasn't critical for going, stopping, or steering it got pitched. Pretty much all fasteners/hardware replaced with Ti or aluminum. I'll even get it lower with Marchesinis.

Which brembo master did you use? I have a spare rcs19 but I'm thinking that might be over kill for this bike [emoji23]

Most people go in for the RCS15, though I think a 19 should be interesting to put on. I installed OE masters from a multistrada for both, the brake and the clutch. Be careful as the RCS will definitely have clearance issues.

And by interesting do you mean flipping over the bars interesting? This would be for a race bike.

Clearance issues? Meet my Dremel :)

I have the 19 on my race SV and love it. But then again. An RC is no SV.
