Throttle Cable Replacement

Would a snapped throttle cable be covered under warranty? Is it worth the effort taking it to the dealership? The parts less than 30 bucks, how difficult of a job is this? I'm a master auto tech but something about working on my own bike kinda irks me considering how hairy sh*t could get if i f*uck up bad enough haha. Any helpful info is appreciated on replacement of the cable. I'm assuming at minimum the gas tank has to be lifted or removed.

Should be warranty. You shouldn't be able to screw anything up, but given how crowded I suspect it is down at the TB, you might use up a few extra days' worth of swear words... If the dealer's close enough, make them bust their knuckles...
