PART 1 of 2:
Rick, I feel your KTM woes and frustration, hoping it's all over for you. Hoping you can offer advice, some wisdom or insight. I have a 2016 KTM that I have owned since new. The bike has always smelled of fuel and I have never overfilled the tank. The bike also overheats, consumes oil, stalls at random and sometimes will not restart for long periods of time (leaving me stranded). Attempts to have the bike serviced for issues have been ignored by a local KTM dealer for six months and KTM customer service never returned phone call during same period. As I was riding bike seven weeks ago bike dumped fuel down both sides of bike saturating my pants and ruining finish of frame, swingarm and plastics. Safety concern because gas also sprayed on parts of exhaust and I've seen parts of my exhaust get red hot and glow...
Hey my name is Bill! After some more research I've concluded that I need the tail section of the rc frame and the stock tail section and passenger seat. I'm going to cut off my tail and weld the rc tail section on and install the passenger seat and under tail section and make my seat fit and bring it to and upholsterer. I love the look of the rc rear section so much I think it'd make a unique KTM DRC (Duke RC) lol. I don't know if you know anyone with a frame but I'll definitely be needing the stock tail light, underneath of the tail, and the passenger seat I would like to do the CF tyga pass seat but might hold off with that until I run the stock one for a while.

Couldn't send it collect. Cost me 50$. Should be there in 4 days. Let me know what happens with it
I'm interested in replacing the stock fairing stay. Let me know if you decide to offer the race fairing stay.
Hi Jokerio, apologies for being a sheer pain in the butt, but I was hoping you could share the notes of the RC8 fork swap with me. I just placed an order for mine and will be installing them as soon as I get them. Thank you. :)
Hey man,

Sorry for the super long delay I've been crazy busy. We had some fun fabricating an exhaust for the bike and I am running Map4. I will be using the wide band we have to get a better idea once I get a MIVV full exhasut over the weekend. How is the bike treating you?? I am in love with mine, but I think next year may bring an RC8...
By the way... any aditional advice with powertronic?. I have an GRP Nero Exhaust + K&N Filter ...
Hey Man!

In mi case, I tried the MAP2 at once LOL  and the laptop was connected. As soon as I turn on the ignition system I hear a weird sound like sparkles, it was the coil getting burned, I noticed this later.

Did you connected the powertronic ground to the terminal battery or it's still connected to the bike frame??.

RD didn't want to help me at all. They just keep saying that it's my bikes issue and nothing to do from their side :(
Hey Man,

My coil was also fried. I brought it into my local dealer and they took care of it under warranty for me (luckily).

The team at RD itself were very prompt in dealing with me to try and help, in fact after a couple of days of no response from me Binoy replied back to ask if I had solved my issue and sent me a new map to make sure I had no issues.
When I got the bike back I loaded the map on the unit, and plugged it in. I didn't connect the laptop to it to monitor in real time as I did on my first go. The bike is running fine now. Very strange to happen, the RD guys were very confident that I wouldn't have the issue again, but had no real answer as to why it happened. Were you running the base duke 390 map on the PT unit when it failed?
Hi Hodder.

How did you solved the powertronic issue?. I have a similar situation, the only difference is that my bike is a Duke 390. I wired the ground to the frame and not to the battery terminal.

I found my ignition coil and spark plug burned. How did you work out this? I ordered a new OEM parts, but I'm afraid that if I plug the powertronic again, it will frie my spark/coil again.

Besides, RD Team support, sucks!!! They don't want to answer my emails. But when I ordered the powertronic, they didn't hesitate to contact me.
Hey man, just saw your post. We ride Malibu every weekend and a bunch of us are on 300s. You should come up here are ride this weekend if you can!
I see you're in NC--me too. Whereabouts are you located? I'm in Chapel Hill.
You said the race bubble screen fits over the lights on your street version bike? I dont care about my lights being seen. My 390 will be mostly track only. Didnt want to buy and find out it doesnt work
