So my wife and I wrenched this exhaust on Sunday night. It looks and sounds amazing, but due to the snow up here we were not able to get any test ride in. I have a powertronic piggyback hooked up with Map 1. It also has the K&N filter with airbox mod.

Installation of this exhaust was a nightmare, because of the factory exhaust. It was stuck on the swingarm and right side frame. After around an hour I was able to bend the mounting tabs on the cat to get it to slide right out. We were hammering away with a rubber mallet. I wish I had advice to the next person doing this install, but I do not really know what was the magic fix other than bending the tabs. The Werkes exhaust took a little wiggling to get the pin to line up on the bottom, but overall was very quick and install.

I had to remove the bolt from my swingarm and slide it back a couple inches to remove my exhaust.

if you push down the bike a little or have someone sit on it, the swing arm will pivot a little and make removal a little easier.

I was powdercoating my wheels & shock spring when I did it so these parts were off the bike. I moved the swing arm up and down and it still wouldn't come out which is why I slid the swing arm back an inch for clearance. I've seen a couple videos of people removing the OEM muffler by just compressing the rear shock a little so I have no idea why it didn't work on my bike.

Have the exhaust/K&N/PCV in boxes next to the bike, heading to the dyno tomorrow morning to do a bone stock run, install everything, then get a comprehensive race tune for pump gas. Will post results.

FYI: I bought the exhaust for the weight, looks and doubtful chance it would ever get damaged in a lowside while racing, not really expecting any spectacular results vs some of the other exhausts that have longer runner length.

On the edge of my seat, as I'm sure many of us are. Anxious to hear results! And this exhaust is at the top of my list based solely on looks and fit. If it makes any extra power at all, for me that's just a bonus. Thanks Rexbo! Keep us posted!

Will you be able to produce a run that is bone stock vs just the pipe / no other mods whatsoever ? with the AFR most importantly....

This would be great to see what gains you make. This is my wife's bike that is going to end up becoming her dedicated track bike, but I took it out for a nice test ride today ( 60deg in NY). The sound was awesome, no backfire, and seat of the pants gains were good. I was able to power wheelie the bike with no effort and that was a bit of a shock for me. I

I put some truck strap down ratchet type straps around the seat and through the wheel. Ratcheted it down and the exhaust just fell out like nothing.

Ok here's what you're all waiting for.

Bad News
- There was a glitch during my first run that was causing the dyno to not display corrected torque/hp. So I don' have an apples to apples comparison before/after.
- OEM fueling is super freakin lean everywhere, even at idle. Explains why these bikes run so hot.
- The map supplied on the PCV needs a ton of work. Spent ~2hrs on the dyno smoothing out the 75%-100% throttle ranges because they were so off.
- This pipe doesn't do anything to help fix the torque slumps at 5k and 6k rpm like the yosh fixes. I could probably spend more time on the dyno to work on it but at $80/hr no thanks.

Neutral News
- This pipe doesn't make any more or less peak power than any other exhausts.There was another rc390 on this dyno the previous weekend with an arrow pipe and made within 0.1 hp of my bike, and that one had the snorkel removed and airbox mod.
- There's enough variation in dyno results that this seems to be in family with other exhausts.
- Mods: Werkes exhaust, Power Commander V, ~2hrs dyno time, K&N filter, OEM air box & snorkel (race rule restrictions), 91 octane pump gas, +2 degrees ignition timing (6 degrees advanced total).

Good News
- 39.47 hp @9k rpm, 25.48 lb-ft @7k rpm.
- You can fix the shitty OEM fueling pretty easily and make the bike a heck of a lot more rideable.
- Bike runs about 10 degrees F cooler now since its not so lean. Should fix some of the overheating problems.
- FIRE. Yep, this bad boy spits flames.

I installed mine today, along with the G2 throttle tube at the same time. i almost ate it into another car at the first turn i did. the extra hmmp and the quicker acceleration was unexpected. so i took it easier the next block and got the feel for it. i gotta say, it is a difference. took it out on the freeway and notice a bit more power at the middle of the rpm's. I'm not gonna call it a new bike by any means but it definitely feels like the bike it should have been from the beginning.
