Update: I only dropped the bike off at the dealer a few days ago but a good point the mechanic made was if the forks were twisted the disc could be twisted causing it to drag on on the caliper. It wasn't a frontal impact but it's a good theory.
I have also heard of the same issue of ebay levers locking on, but people said that caused the brakes to lock up slowly not suddenly like my case, and my ABS was turned on so that should have prevented the brakes locking up too.

The way i worked on this part of my riding is to focus on bending your elbows and rolling your inside wrist to the inside of the corner, also try move your head where the mirrors would block your vision.
Try and make it feel like you are over exaggerating your body position.
I personally don't think these bikes need a slipper clutch. I don't think I have ever felt the rear slide under hard braking.
Unless you raise the compression or they plan on increasing the weight of the fly wheel I don't think it's needed
12000kms out of sports tyres is great mileage.
For the pressures, 29 psi sounds fine. For summer/fast paced riding you might want to drop it a psi or two and for winter/slow riding you might want to increase it by a psi or two
