I got mine on friday, and it is wicked loud!
I tend to stay 1 gear lower now, just because of the sound level.
While the sound is loud, it's not too "screamy". Lower RPM's gives of a nice deep tone, similiar to my old Duke 690 underbody Akra Ti.
I spent maybe 2 hours just getting the stock...
USUALLY, it's only the exhaust silencer bit that is in titanium. Especially considering the price for the RC390 exhaust.
When I bought the Akra Ti for the Duke 690 3 to fit on my Duke 4, it cost me a loooooooooooooot more than regular Akra system for the Duke 4, since it was all Ti, in the...
Hi, links does not work. Do you have any updated links to video? I'd really like a look as I was on the edge of ordering the exhaust my self. How is the loudness? Too loud for track?
Looks pretty identical to the 2016 European version if you ask me. The plastic below the passenger seat is there on all the RC models, just more visible here.
Doesn't seem like it will receive a new dash.
I am thinking the 2018 model of the RC will have all the goodies that the Duke got now. I might just keep my '15 model after all and just wait it out for some more major changes than what the 2017 brings to the table.
I havn't even done anything to the bike yet, and I love it so far after owning it since february.
The fact that you can get a bike this great at such a low pricepoint baffles me.
The most fun in the bike is crushing liter bikes in twisties
I owned a Duke 690 2013 before my RC390. It's hella fun, powerful and super fun to ride hooligan-style, but I really like the RC more for the ergonomics and in general fun factor in riding a sportsbike vs naked.
I should mention that the RC390 engine feels much more smooth and refined than that...
So I saw these picutres on Instragram from today's Intermot in Cologne:
Can't find much other info yet, tho...
The 2017 model looks a bit shinier, which is cool. I don't know what other changes it might bring to the table, but I might consider waiting with opening my wallet to my current 2015...
Perfect! A bit strict on the rules tho. With such small engines, it should be allowed to do whatever you can to squeese more out of them (except for raise in CC over a specific limit)
