Am interested in a stock wiring harness, the coil and cap and the stock rad if it doesn't leak. Can you let me know what else will be listed before I buy this stuff? [email protected] TX
I will ignore the red herring (question about oil) and give my two cents. I raced my RC390 on the Pirelli tires as they were recommended to be the best lightweight class race tire in 2015.They worked great and lasted a season. I was so pleased I put a second set on for the next race season. In...
NO...NO...don't use a screw driver or pliers. That just risks damaging the pad material. Go to your local hardware store and buy the small plastic (yellow colour) wedge splitter. This little plastic wedge is used for splitting wood for fireplaces. There are two sizes and you want the small one...
I would add that the stock chain that came on my 2015 RC390 was very heavy. I swapped it out for a DID gold 520 chain that weighted what felt like half that of the stocker. parillaguy
In a race application, what is the best solution to the bike running hot? Hose kit (with no thermostat) and no fan blocking the rad? Hose kit (with no thermostat) and better fan? Hose kit and ??? thanks
I have the KTM powerparts belly pan and it is mounted up as high as it will go. I am dragging the pan enough to wear thru the RHS edge. Other than continue to repair the fiberglass...is there another solution? parillaguy
I have a set on my RC390 race bike. Not as good as the Pirellis but stick well enough. Just remember not to leave them on the warmers as long as other tires and to be very careful on first time out as they seem to have a lot of release agent on the them from new. parillaguy
Has anyone fitted a 16 tooth front sprocket on a RC390? KTM don't sell one so what kind did you use? Was it a bolt on or did it have to be modified? TX
The national Canadian race series (CSBK) is using the new Q3+ as the spec race tire for the lightweight class. They say that the tire is much better race tire than the Alpha13. The only caution is that they can be overheated if left on warmers too long or warmers set for 80+ degrees.
I race a RC390 here in Canada and will be a volunteer marshall at COTA for the race wknd. I would like to attend if I can talk someone into driving from the hotel. TX for the invite. parillaguy
Looking for some advice. One of my endurance racing team mates over rev'd the RC390 and it blew the head gasket. The shop that was doing the head gasket repair left the chassis outside in a heavy rain storm. When we went to race it next time the not all of the dash functions would show up. The...
I just installed the ROTTWEILER PERFORMANCE emissions can eliminator kit. Iwill see if it does anything other than allow me to remove some unnecessary parts from my RC390. Reasonable price for the kit and easy installation. Anyone have experience with this kit?parillaguy
