From what I've read about it, it seems that they want to make sure their street legal stuff doesn't get tampered with. I don't think it will stop anyone from putting a pipe on that say 'Race use only' and taking it to the track.

I'm 32. I've been riding since 2010 (almost exclusively street bikes) and this will be my second year racing. I'm hoping to get all 7 race weekends this year on an RC390. =) The first race at Buttonwillow is only 7 weeks out, so I have my work cut out for me!
I think I'll just get the belly pan to make it race legal and then worry about getting the uppers when I can find a deal. Hotbodies doesn't even have the KTM stuff listed on their site yet. =( I guess I'll have to call.
