Has anyone attempted doing it?Suspension shop said several folks have mocked up threads and destroyed the forks.
Would hate to buy the kit only to have a complete disaster on my hands.

I did it...but I'm a machinist and was able to fab all the tooling needed. With the right tools it's fairly easy...just need to be sure to heat the base until you see the Loctite bubbling from the threads before unscrewing..that's key!

with the right tools it's easy...the key is to heat the base until the Loctite bubbles up from the threads before unscrewing otherwise it can damage the threads. The Loctite they use is like epoxy! I'm a machinist so I was able to fab all the tooling myself.

sorry for the double post...couldn't delete it???

Thanks for the info,I did the upgraded springs and valves on my VFR and it wasn't that difficult. The shop said I needed a lathe or sander to get the tube to seat correctly on the oil seal.Seemed a bit much to me.Also did you guys use ohlines fork oil?
Anyone set the forks 5mm above the top of the triple tree or flush?
