High coolant temp

So I think this thing just puked a radiator fan... High coolant temp alert warning coming on as soon as I pull into the driveway. As I go to shut the motor off a high pitch squeal begins! WTF 920 miles and the fan binds up already? Changed the oil early and often, haven't beat the piss out of it. Owned less than 2 months and this happens? Not happy.

did you monitor your coolant level?

i know mine started getting low and im only at 500+ miles

Yup coolant level is fine. That wouldn't create the squeal.

Indeed Radiator Fan was locked up... Warranty issue.

Mine never worked when new. First time fan came on, motor was turning but not the blade.
Plastic blade has a brass insert and is just pressed ;on motor shaft. Fan was stamped "made in India."
I thought the parts were made in Austria and assembled in India, guess not.
Replaced by dealer under warranty, 1200 miles now, no problems.

Sorry RobbiRob- My dealer had warned about the self-detaching blades, but I had not heard of the fan motor itself seizing up. The plight (blight?) of being a beta tester... Let us know if there are any parts avaiilability issues.
