Oil always high

When I come home from work the oil level after 1 minute of rest is always above the high limit line. Factory oil, 420 miles. Will this cause harm to the engine?

I don't think it will harm the engine but I've read that high oil might just reduce the efficiency of the engine because the components are swimming in more oil and encounter more resistance. It wouldn't hurt to use a siphon to suck .1L out of the engine and see if you can correct your level.

Do not check the oil when engine is hot. If the engine is hot the oil has a bigger volume. You should warm up the engine, when it reach 3 bars shut it down and wait one min before checking.

Check the engine oil level
