My dad went to move my rc390 out of the garage this morning and forgot to remove the plastic sleeve from the spare key, stupidly he forced the key into the ignition, jamming it in and now I cannot turn the handlebars and the key is stuck in. Not sure where to go from here, is it worth trying to take out the entire barrel and repairing it? Or just replacing the barrel?

Wow! Its easy enough to get the key barrel out of the top triple clamp and there should be a way to get the key/plastic out of the lockwork but I am not sure with what. Dental picks? I am interested in how this works out for you.

Have you tried applying some super slick lube or liquid wrench type stuff? It might make it slick enough to get it out,,,
