Track Day Oil Changes

Is it necessary to change engine oil every two or three track days? My bike has Motul 300V fully synthetic oil and I was wondering if it's ok to change it every 4000 miles.

From what I understand 300V is basically race oil and needs to be changed often. I just do every 2-4 days depending on how the track is. I just asked superpacman about the same thing.

I see, thanks! I thought since RC 390 is a small bike, it may be fine to change it less frequently.

Small bike, yes. But it also has very little oil in it. Thats why I change it as often as I do.

If I were doing track days, only, I would change the oil every other weekend. Since I also race, I usually change the oil every weekend due to the extra time on track adding up quicker.
