    Crank position sensor

My bike did the same last week. Took it to the local KTM dealer. They reset the error code, but bike continued to hard start and die. They were not familiar with Power Commanders and didn't have the software to plug it in. I plan on picking the bike up and seeing if the PCV is throwing any...

Hey guys, I'm trying to transfer my brake lever guard from the stock bars to my new Driven clip-ons. The bar end bolt does not fit. Anyone know what size replacement I need to find? This is the type of piece I'm referring to: Barkbusters B-027 Bar End Mounting Insert Kit for Hollow 14mm...

Popped the head off the baffle shift lever bolt

So, total idiot move. I removed the broken bolt and threaded a new one in. The baffle is only threaded on one side. Yep, I had originally started the bolt on the threaded side. So of course the baffle was not tightening on the shift spindle. Got the new bolt in the correct way and bingo, we’re...

Popped the head off the baffle shift lever bolt

Here's what I'm talking about. It looks like I might be able to use an extractor set to pull the bolt through the opposite side.

Popped the head off the baffle shift lever bolt

I was trying to tighten up this bolt as my baffle was loose and kept sliding all over the shift shaft. Whelp, the head popped off. Any ideas on how I remove this thing? The plan is to just drill it out and order a replacement baffle as I’m definitely gonna destroy the threads doing so. Is...

Stripped throttle cable threading on the switchgear box

I went ahead and just epoxied it. It had quite a bit of teeth left and it’s certainly going nowhere now. Will eventually replace with the Motion-Pro throttle.

Stripped throttle cable threading on the switchgear box

Hey guys, I managed to strip the throttle cable threading on the bottom of the engine start switchgear box. I was trying to tighten down the lock nut and ended up backing out the cable housing. Any ideas here? I'm tempted to just epoxy the elbow joint into the switchgear. There is a still a...

Hard time installing Tyga race seat

I'm in the middle of installing my race bodywork and ran into a snag with the tail section. How did you guys get over this little side rail on the frame? It's just too wide for the seat to make it over.

    Cold starting

Those lithium batteries are unreliable in cold weather. I had one in a bike for a minute. Wouldn't start the bike in temps below 40 degrees. Sold immediately and put the heavy back in. Not worth the static weight savings especially if your bike is a commuter.

Popping out of 3rd gear into 4th during heavy downshifting/braking

Ah, I found what I'm looking for. Thanks so much for the 'detent arm' suggestion. An easy google search uncovered lots of posts on this forum about similar shifting problems and how this solved them. Guess it's time to crack open the right side of the engine and put a slipper and this detent arm...

Popping out of 3rd gear into 4th during heavy downshifting/braking

No I have not. Do you happen to have the part number handy? Link to a walk-through on how to replace the detent? I'd be in unfamiliar waters.
