Hi new member here just purchased a new 2017 rc390. Still breaking it in have 400 miles on it and already found the suspension poor. Have been looking for Ohlin shock and fork cartridges but a lot of parts been sold do not refer to 2017 models.
Has the frame changed in any way minor /major from the 16 to the 17?
Has the engine, internal / external changed from the 16 to 17?
Will the Ohlin KT303 fit the 17 model
Are the intake/exhaust valve/components titanium
Are there other worthwhile cams available using stock piston.
Thanks
Paul

I have the KT303 on my 2017 RC, it goes well, if you think the 17 stock rear shock sucks then you wouldn't like the 16 at all. Forks are the same between the 16 and 17. So any cart kits will fit the 17.
Frame hasn't changed much (if at all) but the exhaust layout is different between the 16 and 17. Doesn't really matter because if you take the exhaust all the way back then the aftermarket kits for the 16 will fit the 17, if that is what you want.
Valves, seriously doubt they are titanium, however you can get Ti retainers for upgraded valve springs from Chad here on the forums (KTM performance). Yes there are cams.

You should direct your questions to Chad (cjwell), he has forgotten more about the 390 than most people will ever know. He also has the parts you are chasing.

You may also want to seriously consider the JRi Double Adjustable shock. It runs circles around the KT303.
