Classified Posting Rules

Is there a rule against new members posting in the classifieds section? I haven't seen one but don't want to break any forum rules. I'm helping a friend convert to a race bike so I've got a lot of OEM RC390 parts with 2 miles on them to sell...

You need to have at least 10 "meaningful" posts and 1 month of membership. You can check it out in the forum rules.

Link? I've been reading through the FAQ and didn't see any mention of rules for posting in classifieds. I believe you, I just can't find it!

Marketplace/Classified Ads Posting Rules:

YOU MUST BE A MEMBER FOR 30 DAYS AND HAVE A MINIMUN OF 10 ACCEPTABLE NOT GARBAGE POSTS OR BE A SUPPORTING MEMBER BEFORE YOU SELL ANYTHING ON THIS FORUM.*

This goes for trading items as well. This eliminates the spam, the "bots", and the thief. It protects everyone involved. It is a rule set by the owner, and followed strictly by the Moderators. Please follow it.

* Unless the item is an RC390 or an RC390 related part and is not being sold buy a vendor. Only non RC390 Items for sale must meet the 30 days or 10 posts rule..

Vendors (or people selling quantities of the same item) must first contact the Administration (members: Admin) to get information on being a paid advertiser before posting items for sale.

No Craigslist, or outside linking of for sale items.
If you have stuff on craigslist, then sell it on craigslist. We will not have the items placed here also. List your product here, try to sell it here, then take it to craigslist.

EBay Links are welcome for your RC390 Related Items only....

There will be no "auction-style" selling here.
If you post an item for sale and it says anything like "I will take the highest offer" it will be removed. If you want to run an auction, take it to eBay.

Posts will be deleted at the discretion of the moderators.
There is tendency to post negative replies when someone lists an item for sale that others consider "overpriced". Negative comments will not be tolerated. To put it simply-If you don’t have anything good to say; keep it to yourself.

Omission of information is also known as fraud.
Example: If you are selling a leather suit that has a 9 inch tear in it you need to disclose that information to the buyer. Do not tell the buyer that the suit has "light wear" only.
If its determined that you defraud a member by failing to disclose crucial facts about your items, your access to this section will be restricted and you may be banned from the forum.

Use this section at your own risk.
There are a lot of scams out there so take precautions in your business ventures. RC390-FORUM WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR LOSSES AS A RESULT OF USING THIS SECTION. As a suggestion: sellers should consider using delivery confirmation to avoid conflicts from buyers; saying they never received the products. Buyers, get to know the seller a little before you blindly send cash. If something doesn’t seem right; it probably isn’t. If something seems too good to be true; it probably is.

Respect fellow members
This section is a great place to make an extra buck and occasionally new friends. Please be respectful to your fellow members. Maybe try selling here to a member instead of eBay, maybe save them a buck or two. If you have any questions, problems or concerns feel free to contact Admin.

PLEASE try to go back and mark SOLD when the item sells.
This will help eliminate the old threads coming back up, as well as help those looking for specific items.

Lastly, don't forget the Buyer/Seller Feedback forum. Be sure to express a good or bad experience with your buyer or seller, and let others know what to expect. Also be sure to check there for a member if you are concerned BEFORE you buy.

TIPS/HELP
1. Describe your item in the title.
2. Post a price, easy to find, not just lost in the paragraph of description.
3. Give ALL details. i.e. color, size, year, make, model, etc.
4. POST PICTURES
5. Put "For Sale" in the title of For Sale items, put "WTB" for items you Want To Buy.
6. List shipping, pick-up or delivery options for the buyer.
7. Be sure to add "SOLD" one the items are sold.
Vendor Rules:

All Supporting Vendors participating on the RC390-Forum.com board must have their bio filled out complete with their real name, a contact phone number and a valid e-mail address.

They must also have the "Recent Posts" feature turned on in their user profile.

Supporting Vendors may start threads pertaining to the sale of their products in their vendor forum only. Vendors are not allowed to advertise with private messages. Or in other forums. ( no exceptions)

Each Supporting Vendors will be allowed to give support for their product in the appropriate forum when and only when a member asks for such support.

Each Supporting Vendors will be allowed to answer posts pertaining to them in the Vendor / Seller / Dealer Reviewsforum in a manner consistent with the board guidelines.

Supporting Vendors will be allowed to answer "where can I buy" questions posed by members providing this is done in a non-intrusive manner, and the privilege is not abused. Excessive commercial posting, at the discretion of board administration, will be considered spam and the posts and the vendor will be dealt with in a manner fitting the offense.

Only Supporting Vendors offering motorcycle related products will be permitted to post on the board.
A vendor's signature line must conform with the Rc390-forum.com Signature Line Policy.

Any variance from these rules will be cause for immediate action as deemed fit by the Admins.
