Is it time for engine rebuilt?

Today my service guy told after servicing my bike that the engine is burning oil & i’ve to change the block piston in near about 5months. My bike ran 26800kms since 2015 & i had never tortured the machine. Is it fine for engine rebuilt?

Ask him if he measured the cylinder bore. Have they done a compression test or a wet test to determine the root cause of the oil burning?

none of the tests have been done.

So without basic testing how can your mechanics one to that conclusion.

If excessive oil is getting from the crankcase into the combustion chamber theres a problem. A compression and leakdown test would help justify worn rings or bore.
